Advertising is all around us and becomes ever more intrusive, aggressive and sophisticated in its appearance.
Through a variety of displays we are constantly being bombarded with visual imagery craving for our attention.
A new species has appeared in the genus of advertising spaces. It is characterised by large luminous electronic displays projecting moving images of an idealised world onto its prey.
Our eyes and brains are programmed to detect motion so we are condemned to consume these images; there is no escape from this predator.
In this project I wanted to explore the pervasive nature of large digital billboards and the impact these have on our daily lives and environment.
